Customize or troubleshoot a shortcut

Try the corresponding menu command first; check the selected layer and whether the command is enabled.
Leave text editing or dialog input before retrying a canvas action.
Open Edit Keyboard Shortcuts to inspect an override or removed binding. Save changes deliberately.
Check operating-system interception, input methods and keyboard layout. If the menu works but the shortcut does not, report both observations.
